On the occasion of 44th Kokborok Language Day 2022, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed that the name of Barmura has been changed to Hatikatar, Gondachhara to Gonda Tuisa and Atramura to Hachuk Baram. The new naming of these two places will easily reach the world through Dambur travellers and travellers arriving in the state by road.
On 44th Kokborok Day 2022, the first release of the teacher's book will play a leading role in spreading and educating the Kokborok language, the CM said. The experience of mother tongue as well as its culture-cultural traditions, including other languages and Kokborok language, will be helpful for the way to enrich oneself.
Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, amendment in the National Education Policy has been ensured for education in the mother tongue.
