The Indian Navy will host its first-ever Half Marathon (INHM) on February 2, 2025, in New Delhi. The event will feature three race categories: a 21.1 km Half Marathon, a 10 km Run, and a 5 km Run, making it open to runners of all levels and abilities.
The marathon will take place at the famous Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with the race route passing by landmarks like India Gate and Kartavya Path. Organizers are working hard to ensure a memorable experience for all participants.
The event will be attended by notable figures from the Defence Forces and civil society. Its goal is to encourage people from all walks of life to get active, focus on fitness, and live healthier lives. The marathon will also bring people together to foster a sense of community and help strengthen ties with the Indian Navy.
In addition to promoting fitness, the event aims to inspire young people to lead adventurous lives and consider a career with the Indian Navy, known for its discipline and service to the country.
The INHM is expected to become an annual event, joining other Navy marathons in cities like Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, and Kochi. Participants who run all four Navy marathons in a year will earn the Navy Slam, a special medal with designs from all four events.
The Indian Navy Half Marathon promises to be a fun and meaningful event, bringing together people of all ages to celebrate fitness and national pride. (PR)
