A proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh as the state crossed another milestone in its endeavour to operationalize the Greenfield airport at Hollongi in Arunachal Pradesh, a significant milestone achieved, as the Airports Authority of India (AAI) successfully made its first flight test landing today at 9:20 am. Despite having incredible tourism potential, Arunachal Pradesh was deprived of air connectivity for ages.
The landing marks the testing and licensing phase of the airport as after the calibration flights today and tomorrow, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's licensing process will begin.
With the visionary ambition of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to ensure air connectivity to every region of Arunachal Pradesh, this airport will take a significant milestone towards the efforts made to make the airport operational by 2022.
The Chief Minister of the state, Shri Pema Khandu, through a social media post, has congratulated the Captains and Flight Inspector DVDR Calibration in charge of the soft landing. In the main time, he has expressed his thanks and gratitude to Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Hon'ble Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Ji for strengthening the efforts to cross the important milestone.
