In a significant initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Mizoram, Assam Rifles has partnered with Pragathi Edutech Trust to provide free training in Hotel Management, along with job placement opportunities. This initiative, conducted under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Indian Oil Ltd, offers the potential for employment both within India and abroad, depending on the skill levels of the participants.
The selected candidates will undergo a three-month comprehensive training program in Guwahati, where they will receive free mentorship, food, and lodging. The course is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills for a successful career in the hospitality industry, a sector that offers growing opportunities.
Assam Rifles ensured extensive publicity for the program through civil society organizations, student bodies, and youth groups, attracting 47 aspiring participants, including 31 boys and 16 girls. These youths hailed from various districts of Mizoram, including Aizawl, Serchhip, Kolasib, Saitul, Champhai, Mamit, and Khawjawl. Assam Rifles also facilitated travel arrangements for many participants from remote border areas to attend the walk-in interview held in Aizawl.
The selection results will be announced shortly, and successful candidates will have the opportunity to attend campus interviews for job placements following their training. Through this collaboration, Assam Rifles, in partnership with Pragathi Edutech Trust, remains dedicated to enhancing the employment prospects for the youth of Mizoram, aligning with its motto of being the "Sentinels of the North East."
