The 13th edition of the AGNI WARRIOR joint military training between the Indian Army and Singapore Armed Forces ended on 30th November 2024 at the Field Firing Ranges in Devlali, Maharashtra. The training, which took place from 28th to 30th November, involved 182 personnel from Singapore’s artillery and 114 from India’s artillery units.
The main goal of AGNI WARRIOR 2024 was to help both armies better understand each other’s training and techniques. This would allow them to work together as a multinational force under the United Nations Charter. The training focused on planning and using artillery firepower effectively, including the latest technology and equipment.
Key military authorities were present at the event’s closing ceremony, including Lieutenant General Adosh Kumar, Director General of Artillery, Indian Army; Lieutenant General NS Sarna, Commandant of the School of Artillery; and Colonel Ong Chiou Perng, Chief Artillery Officer of the Singapore Armed Forces. They applauded the soldiers for their professionalism and skills revealed during the exercise.
For the course of three days, the Indian and Singaporean forces worked together to improve coordination and understand each other’s capabilities. They conveyed ideas, learned from each other’s techniques, and practiced using new artillery technologies. The training also gave both sides the chance to exchange best techniques and improve their combined operations.
Overall, AGNI WARRIOR 2024 was a successful training activity that maintained the military cooperation between India and Singapore, improving their ability to work together in future operations. (PR)
