The Indian Army has started a special spiritual tour for 22 senior villagers from West Kameng and Tawang districts in Arunachal Pradesh. This is part of the Army’s efforts under Operation SADBHAVANA and the Vibrant Village Programme to promote cultural understanding, spiritual growth and national unity.
The tour was launched on 10 January 2025 and it includes village headmen and ex-servicemen who are visiting places outside their remote villages for the first time. This journey aims to help them connect with the rest of the country and understand its rich heritage.
The group will visit famous spiritual places like the World Buddhist Centre, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Dalai Lama Temple and Mahabodhi Temple. These visits will allow the villagers to experience India’s diverse culture and heritage.
This initiative also shows the important role of the Indian Army in bringing people from border areas closer to the rest of the country. By helping these villagers learn more about India’s culture, the Army is working to strengthen national pride and unity.
Through this tour, the villagers will feel more connected to the nation and its traditions, making this a meaningful and impactful experience for them. (PR)
