Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the 14th Rozgar Mela, where he handed out over 71,000 job appointment letters to youthful people joining government jobs. The event was held via video conferencing and connected 45 locations across India, marking a big step toward creating more job opportunities.
In Arunachal Pradesh, 258 candidates, including 35 females, received their appointment letters in a special ceremony at Itanagar, held at the ITBP NE Frontier Headquarters in Khating Hills. These new recruits will work in various government departments, including the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indian Postal Service, Indian Railways, and Sashastra Seema Bal.
While managing the crowd, Prime Minister Modi congratulated the new recruits. He said, “Today marks a fresh start for many of you. Your dreams are coming true, and your hard work has paid off. As this year ends, new happiness comes to you and your families. I am truly happy for all of you.”
The Prime Minister also shared his recent experiences in Kuwait, where he met Indian youth and professionals. He expressed happiness at being able to participate in such an important event immediately after his return.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who was present in Itanagar, also handed out appointment letters to 25 candidates. He spoke about the government's efforts to create job opportunities. “The government has worked hard to build infrastructure. Now, it’s up to you to take these opportunities, secure your future, and help build our country,” he said.
Union Minister Rijiju also encouraged young people to look beyond government jobs and consider other career paths, including entrepreneurship. He assured the youth that the government is committed to helping them achieve their dreams and create a strong system for both employment and self-employment.
The Rozgar Mela is a key initiative by the government to empower young people and provide them with the opportunities they need for a bright future. (PR)
