On 3 December, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma met Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, at Parliament House to discuss the upcoming Advantage Assam Business Summit 2025. During the meeting, Dr. Sarma asked Goyal for help in bringing potential investors and other important participants to the summit to show the investment opportunities in Assam.
After the meeting, Dr. Sarma shared his thanks on social media, saying, "We had a detailed discussion with Hon'ble Union Minister Shri @PiyushGoyal Ji to make sure that #AdvantageAssam 2025 highlights Assam's huge investment potential."
He also thanked Goyal for his time and support, noting that this was their second meeting in less than a week. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the Commerce Ministry would play a key role in inviting investors and other important people to the summit.
