In a strong display of encouragement and leadership, Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, Additional Director General of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate, visited the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC S1) being conducted by the 1 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, Srinagar, at the National Training Academy (NTA), Nagrota.
The senior officer was received with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by smartly turned-out cadets, a gesture he acknowledged with appreciation, commending the discipline and sharpness of the parade. Maj Gen Bevli then took stock of the extensive camp activities underway, including a tent-pitching drill where cadets from various institutions demonstrated precision and teamwork.
The General Officer further reviewed academic sessions and witnessed live firing practice. He praised the cadets for their remarkable enthusiasm, discipline, and focus, noting the importance of such activities in building character and confidence.
Addressing the Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) and Permanent Instructors (PI Staff), Maj Gen Bevli emphasized the crucial role they play in shaping the future of cadets. He urged them to continue their dedicated efforts toward the holistic grooming of the young NCC members.
His interaction extended to cadets and staff, where he welcomed feedback and suggestions aimed at enhancing the quality of training and camp experiences. In his concluding remarks, Maj Gen Bevli lauded the high standards of organization, teamwork, and discipline evident in the camp and urged all participants to keep the momentum going and strive for continuous improvement.
