Arunachal Pradesh will host Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Annapurna Devi, from April 10 to 13, 2025, as she embarks on a multi-day visit to engage in Poshan Pakhwara activities and review the implementation of key welfare schemes in the state.
The Minister will be visiting the districts of Kra Daadi and Lower Subansiri, where she will actively participate in a series of programs aimed at promoting nutrition awareness and strengthening grassroots-level outreach. Her visit is part of the central government’s efforts to ensure that flagship initiatives reach even the most remote regions of the country, with a special focus on the northeastern states.
During her tour, Smt. Annapurna Devi will visit local schools, Anganwadi centres, hospitals, cooperatives, and Self Help Groups (SHGs), where she will interact directly with the people of Arunachal Pradesh. These interactions are intended to assess the real-time impact of various government schemes and gather insights to further improve their effectiveness.
The Union Minister will also conduct high-level review meetings with Deputy Commissioners and district officials to discuss the progress of ongoing schemes under the Ministry of Women and Child Development. These discussions will aim to enhance coordination and address region-specific challenges faced by women, children, and vulnerable communities in Arunachal Pradesh.
Her visit underscores the central government's commitment to inclusive development in the Northeast and highlights Arunachal Pradesh’s importance in national-level nutrition and welfare initiatives like Poshan Pakhwara. (PR)
