Indian Air Force Rescues Two Foreign Mountaineers from Chaukhamba III in Daring Operation
The Indian Air Force successfully rescued two foreign mountaineers, Michelle from the US and Fay Jane from the UK, stranded on Chaukhamba III peak in Uttarakhand. After enduring two days of harsh weather, the climbers were airlifted from an altitude of 17,400 feet by two IAF helicopters. The daring operation, carried out in collaboration with SDRF, NIM, and French mountaineers, highlighted the skill and bravery of the rescue teams in navigating the treacherous terrain of the Himalayas.
