Jammu: Sainik School Nagrota witnessed a proud and inspiring moment on Saturday as it held its Annual Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025-26. Set against the impressive backdrop of the school’s iconic Drill Square, the solemn ceremony commenced at 1000 hours and marked the official induction of cadets into key leadership roles within the institution.
The event was graced by the presence of the school’s Principal, Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia, along with esteemed faculty members, proud parents, and the vibrant cadet fraternity. The Investiture Ceremony is a time-honored tradition at the school, symbolizing the trust and responsibility bestowed upon young leaders.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal pipping of the newly appointed student leaders—a symbolic gesture jointly performed by the Principal and the cadets' parents. This act not only recognised the cadets' leadership potential but also underscored the shared commitment of the school and parents to nurturing future leaders of the nation.
In a disciplined and spirited atmosphere, cadets took a solemn oath to uphold the school’s core values of Discipline, Integrity, and Honour — deeply ingrained in the ethos of Sainik School Nagrota.
Leading the cadet body this year is Cadet Stanzin Chosgyal (4271), appointed as the School Cadet Captain. Supporting him in various spheres are:
- Cadet Saksham Verma (4312) – School Sports Captain
- Cadet Raghav Chib (4354) – School Cadet Adjutant
- Cadet Neatik Rajput (4346) – School Cultural Captain
- Cadet Angel Choudhary (4433) – Girl Prefect

In his keynote address, Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia congratulated the newly appointed cadet leaders and praised their readiness to embrace responsibility with sincerity and pride. He reminded them that leadership is both a privilege and a duty — one that must be carried out with humility, courage, and an unwavering commitment to service.
He also took a moment to acknowledge the vital role of parents in shaping the values and aspirations of their children. “Your support and encouragement have been instrumental in moulding these young leaders,” he remarked, thanking parents for their continued involvement and belief in the school’s mission.
