Smt S. Phangnon Konyak, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and State Vice President of BJP Nagaland embarked on a National Membership Campaign 2024 across seven districts of Nagaland. As per the directive from the party’s high command, Konyak’s tour covered Wokha, Mon, Aboi (Org.), Longleng, Tuensang, Noklak, and Kiphire districts, aiming to strengthen the party's grassroots presence.
During her official tour, Konyak held productive meetings with district office bearers, Morcha representatives, Sadasyata Committees, and party workers (Karyakartas). She emphasized the campaign's significance in fortifying the party’s base and engaging with citizens to contribute towards making India a fully developed nation by 2047.
In her addresses, she also highlighted the importance of party workers helping the public access various government schemes such as free food grains under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), affordable housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-Urban), and health insurance through Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
The National Membership Campaign 2024 aims to register new members and renew primary memberships every six years, as mandated by Article 9 of the party’s constitution. This drive will continue until October 15, with registration options available through missed calls at 8800 00 2024, the NaMo App, QR codes, and physical application forms for those in remote areas with limited mobile connectivity.
The initiative is part of the BJP's broader effort to consolidate its support base across Nagaland and ensure that party workers remain committed to serving the public while advancing the party’s vision for India’s future. (PR)
