In a meaningful initiative to promote women's safety and empowerment, the Indian Army held an insightful self-defense workshop at Army Public School, Akhnoor. The event aimed to empower young girls by equipping them with vital self-defense skills to boost their confidence and personal safety.
The interactive program featured a series of hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises, engaging 204 students and 7 teachers in essential self-defense techniques. The instructors focused on powerful yet straightforward maneuvers, including palm strikes, elbow strikes, knee strikes, and shin kicks. Participants were also introduced to emergency signs and situational awareness strategies, which are vital in escaping and protecting oneself during unforeseen situations.
