On the fifth day of the rescue operations in Assam’s inundated mine, the teams are making good progress. A joint team of the Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and other agencies have been working together to find the missing people.
Today, on 11 January 2025 at 11:30 AM, the teams recovered two more bodies. One body was found by the Indian Army’s Special Forces (21 SF) divers and the other by NDRF divers. This brings the total number of bodies recovered to three.
Rescue teams are still diving into the mine, carefully searching all submerged areas. Their main intent is to find and recover the remaining missing individuals. (PR)
