Narangi Military Station celebrated Armed Forces Veterans Day on 14 January with great confidence to honor the bravery, dedication and service of veterans. The event brought together both serving and retired Armed Forces personnel, creating a strong sense of unity and respect.
Many respected veterans attended the celebration, including Air Marshal Anjan Gogoi, Major General JP Prasad, Major General Kamal Pathak, Brigadier Polash Choudhury and other senior officers and personnel.
Major General RD Sharma, General Officer Commanding, spoke at the gathering about various programs organized by 51 sub-areas to support veterans. These include help with healthcare, pensions and overall well-being. He also shared information about an upcoming Veterans Rally and Job Mela to provide opportunities and assistance to veterans.
As a token of appreciation, the veterans presented a traditional gift hamper and Gamusa to Major General Sharma. The event ended with everyone reaffirming their commitment to the nation and their role in its development.
