After the success of the first edition in July 2024, the Ministry of Minority Affairs is organizing the second edition of ‘Lok Samvardhan Parv’ from 27th January to 2nd February 2025. The event will take place at the State Emporia Complex, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
The event will bring together 90 artisans from different parts of India to display their unique crafts. Guests can enjoy and buy items like Ajrak Print Sarees from Maharashtra, Banaras Brocade from Uttar Pradesh, Cane & Bamboo products from Assam and Channapatna Toys from Karnataka. There will also be items like Kantha Stitch from West Bengal, Kashmiri Shawls, Kosa Silk Sarees from Maharashtra, Leather Puppetry from Andhra Pradesh and much more.
Along with the crafts, 16 expert chefs will offer a taste of India’s diverse food. The cuisines include Lucknawi Zaika, Gujarati Rasoi, Parsi dishes, Punjabi food, Street Snacks, Nawabi delicacies, Dry Fruit treats and Fusion Flavors.
The event will also feature cultural performances every Friday to Sunday, where visitors can experience the music and dance of different minority communities.
‘Lok Samvardhan Parv’ is part of the Ministry of Minority Affairs’ effort to support the development of people from minority communities. By working with various organizations, the event has helped many individuals and communities showcase their culture and skills.
