The grand finale of THINQ 2024, held at the Nalanda Block of the prestigious Indian Naval Academy on 8th November 2024, was a remarkable display of intellect and spirit. After a rigorous competition, the twins Aditya and Anirudh from Jayashree Periwal High School, Jaipur emerged victorious, lifting the coveted THINQ 2024 trophy. The Runners Up position was claimed by B.V. Bhavan's Vidyashram from Chennai, who displayed exceptional performance throughout the quiz.
The event was graced by the presence of Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), and his wife, Mrs. Shashi Tripathi, President of the Naval Wives Welfare Association (NWWA), who felicitated the outstanding participants for their brilliant display of knowledge and quick thinking.
Addressing the audience, CNS Admiral Tripathi praised the students for their outstanding performance, which kept the audience at the edge of their seats. "This exciting voyage of the quiz is not just about winning but about embracing the lessons and the values imbibed during the preparation process," he said. He urged the students to adopt the spirit of Sanskrit saying, "Yad Bhavam Tad Bhavati (As You Think, So You Become)", emphasizing the importance of the experience gained in their journey toward the competition.
Admiral Tripathi also underlined the broader mission of THINQ – The Indian Navy Quiz, which not only challenges the intellectual capacity of participants but also aims to enhance Maritime Consciousness and instill a sense of nation-building among the future thought leaders of India. He highlighted that THINQ is more than a quiz; it is a journey of competition, youth, and a testament to the Indian Navy's crucial role in the pursuit of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Furthermore, he stressed the Navy’s commitment to building agile, cohesive teams dedicated to safeguarding India’s maritime interests at all times.
