Sainik School Imphal celebrated its 53rd Raising Day on October 7, 2024, with enthusiasm and grandeur. The historic milestone brought together senior members of the school’s staff, distinguished alumni, and several high-ranking officers from the defence services.
The day began with a solemn homage ceremony at the school’s Martyrs’ Pillar, attended by officers, staff, alumni, and cadets. This was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony held at the school auditorium.
A highlight of the celebration was a vibrant entertainment program put on by the cadets, showcasing their talents and creative skills. The event provided an opportunity for cadets to interact with former students, who shared their experiences and motivated the younger generation. In the spirit of camaraderie, a friendly basketball match between the staff and ex-students added excitement to the festivities.
Lt. Col. SK Singh, the officiating principal of Sainik School Imphal, addressed the gathering. He expressed his deep appreciation to the retired staff, alumni, and ex-students for their significant contributions to the school’s development. “The cooperation and assistance of our entire school fraternity have brought Sainik School Imphal to new heights, making it a source of pride for the region,” he remarked. Singh also thanked the attendees for their presence, which added to the success of the celebration.
The event concluded with a grand lunch at the Cadets' Mess, bringing the day’s celebrations to a fulfilling close.
