Sainik School Punglwa in Nagaland hosted its 31st Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting today, marking another significant chapter in the school’s journey toward excellence. The meeting was chaired by Major General Vijay Jotwani, SM, Chief of Staff, HQ Spear Corps, who also serves as the Chairman of the LBA.
Joining the gathering were several esteemed members, including Shri S. Supongmeren Jamir, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Nagaland, senior state government officials, and other distinguished board members.
During the meeting, the Principal of Sainik School Punglwa presented a detailed report highlighting the school’s achievements over the past academic year. Key areas of focus included infrastructure upgrades, the steady rise in academic performance, holistic development initiatives for cadets, and upcoming projects aimed at further enriching the learning environment.
A major point of discussion centered on strategic initiatives to better prepare cadets for the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) examination. The board emphasized the need for a focused and structured approach to ensure cadets are equipped to meet national standards of excellence.
Maj Gen Vijay Jotwani praised the school’s sustained efforts in nurturing disciplined, motivated, and high-performing cadets. He lauded the dedication of the faculty and staff, noting the significant improvements across academics, administration, and infrastructure. Addressing the cadets directly, the Chairman urged them to embrace discipline, ambition, and an unwavering commitment to the service of the nation.
Hon’ble MP Shri S. Supongmeren Jamir also spoke during the session, commending the school’s achievements in CBSE board examinations and NDA selections. He assured the school of his full support and encouraged the team to continue striving for greater heights in all spheres.
