In a significant initiative aimed at fostering youth development and empowering the younger generation, the Indian Army conducted a Youth Empowerment Programme in Manipur on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The event took place at two key educational institutions: St. George School in Moreh, Tengnoupal District, and Manipur Public School in Koirengei, Imphal East District.
The programme, which saw enthusiastic participation from around 300 students, featured a motivational talk by an Army officer. The officer encouraged the students to set ambitious goals and work diligently to achieve them. Alongside the inspirational message, the attendees were briefed on a wide array of career opportunities within the Armed Forces, government initiatives aimed at empowering youth, and various scholarship schemes that can support higher education and competitive exam preparation.
In addition to career guidance, the event highlighted essential life skills, including the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, financial literacy and planning, and the need to strike a balance between academics, sports, and extracurricular activities for overall personal growth.
