In a bid to inspire and engage the youth, the Indian Army organized a special event titled "A Day with Company Commander" for the cadets of Sainik School, Imphal. The event, held in Bishnupur district of Manipur, aimed to familiarize the students with the Army's rich history and ethos, while also offering them a glimpse of the picturesque Loktak Lake.
A total of 30 Class 9 cadets participated in the event. The cadets began their day with a visit to the renowned Indian National Army (INA) Museum in Moirang, where they learned about the significant contributions of the INA and its leader, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, to India’s struggle for independence.
Following this, the cadets visited the Sendra Army Camp situated along the banks of Loktak Lake. At the camp, they were introduced to the ‘Red Shield Centre of Wellness and Excellence,’ commonly referred to as the 'Manipur Super-50.' The center hosted a variety of activities for the cadets, including a volleyball match, the screening of a motivational film about life in the Army, and an interactive session with officers and soldiers.
The event highlighted the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to engage, motivate, and guide the next generation of leaders, encouraging them to play a vital role in nation-building. The day left a lasting impression on the cadets, many of whom expressed excitement and interest in pursuing a future within the defense services.
The Indian Army continues to be committed to its mission of fostering a strong sense of patriotism and leadership among the country's youth.(pr )
