The 8th edition of the India-Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise, KAZIND 2024, commenced on September 30 at the Surya Foreign Training Node in Auli, Uttarakhand. This bilateral exercise involves 120 personnel from the Indian contingent, including members from the Kumaon Regiment and the Indian Air Force, supported by various arms and services units.
This year's exercise is centered around the theme of conducting joint sub-conventional operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations Mandate. A significant highlight of the event was the display and handling of weapons, culminating in a firing session, which provided an opportunity for both Indian and Kazakhstani troops to share their expertise and experiences.
The demonstration emphasized the commitment of both nations to operational readiness, featuring intense training sessions focused on weapon handling and tactical firing positions. KAZIND 2024 aims to enhance operational synergy, bolster interoperability, and ensure tactical precision in close quarter engagements, reflecting the deep military cooperation between India and Kazakhstan.(PR)
