Major General R.K. Sachdeva, Additional Director General of the NCC Directorate for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, engaged with cadets at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota during the ongoing Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) camp. His interactions, particularly with cadets from the Bihar and Jharkhand Directorates, underscored the importance of national unity and the rich diversity of cultures across India.
During his address, Maj Gen Sachdeva passionately emphasized the core values represented by the NCC logo: "Unity" and "Discipline." He articulated that these values are not merely symbolic but essential principles that every cadet should strive to embody throughout their lives. He reinforced the idea behind the motto, “Once a cadet, always a cadet,” celebrating the enduring spirit of leadership, discipline, and teamwork that the National Cadet Corps instills in its members.
Maj Gen Sachdeva encouraged cadets to harness the skills they acquire through their NCC experience to forge successful future careers. He highlighted the ongoing expansion of NCC in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, where four new units are set to be established. This initiative, he stated, represents a transformative opportunity for cadets, particularly those from remote areas, and exemplifies the government's dedication to nurturing talent from every corner of the country.
In addition to his motivational remarks, the ADG reviewed preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the new units and urged participants to deliver their best performances. He also inspected renovation efforts at the NCC Training Academy, aimed at enhancing the training infrastructure for future cadets.
Reminding the cadets of their role as "brand ambassadors" of the NCC, Maj Gen Sachdeva urged them to maintain connections with the NCC fraternity even after their tenure. He encouraged them to continue serving society as responsible citizens, contributing to the creation of a stronger, more united nation.
The presence of such a senior officer, along with his extensive experience and vision, elevated the profile of the EBSB camp and left a lasting impact on all attendees. (PR)
