The Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), graced the prestigious Him Tech Symposium 2024 in Leh. During the event, he delivered a keynote address and interacted with key stakeholders from the Indian Defence Industry and military personnel.
The Him Tech Symposium 2024, along with the Him Dronathon 2, has been organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The event serves as a vital platform for showcasing advanced defence equipment and technologies specifically designed to address challenges in high-altitude areas.
The symposium saw Indian Defence Manufacturers present a range of cutting-edge equipment aimed at enhancing the country’s defence capabilities in extreme altitudes. With a theme centered on "Harnessing Defence Technology for High Altitude Areas," the event highlighted innovations in military hardware and defence solutions tailored for challenging terrain and climates.
In his address, the Lt. Governor acknowledged the crucial role played by Indian Defence Industries in bolstering the nation's military preparedness, particularly in the high-altitude regions of Ladakh. He also felicitated the defence manufacturers for their efforts in advancing technology to meet the unique requirements of India’s armed forces in these areas.
Following the official engagements, the symposium was opened to the public from 3 PM on 21 September 2024, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to witness the latest advancements in defence technology.
