The Indian Air Force (IAF) marked its 92nd Anniversary today with a breathtaking air show over Marina Beach, one of the world's longest beaches, drawing an enthusiastic crowd expected to exceed 1.5 million. The event was graced by Shri MK Stalin, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, along with Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, and senior officials from the Defence Forces and various government dignitaries.

This year’s theme, “Sashakt, Saksham, Atmanirbhar” (Potent, Powerful, Self-reliant), was prominently reflected in the IAF’s display of aerial strength and skill. The air show featured an impressive array of aircraft, ranging from cutting-edge fighter jets to transport planes and helicopters, showcasing the IAF's transformative journey towards modernity and formidable capability.

Among the highlights were flypasts of indigenous aircraft, including the Tejas, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), Light Combat Helicopter Prachand, and the Hindustan Turbo Trainer-40 (HTT-40). These displays symbolized India's commitment to self-reliance, known as Atmanirbharta, and resonated with the audience's pride in the nation’s advancements in military technology.

The event reached a crescendo with the low-level aerobatics of the Sukhoi-30 MKI, demonstrating the exceptional professionalism and skill of IAF pilots. The grand finale featured mesmerizing performances by the Suryakiran and Sarang Aerobatic Teams, leaving the audience in awe.

The air show served not only as a celebration of the IAF’s legacy but also as a powerful reminder of India’s capability and commitment to self-reliance. As the IAF continues to evolve, events like these reinforce the nation’s pride in its air force and its aspirations for the future.
