In a significant step to support education in Manipur, the Indian Army inaugurated a school bus service for students of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Imphal on September 25, 2024. The service will operate from Kantho Sabal village, the IDP Relief Camp, and various villages in the Lamshang Block of Imphal West district.
This initiative is part of Operation Sadbhavna, a civic program by the Indian Army aimed at fostering goodwill and providing essential services to local communities. The introduction of this bus service is designed to ensure reliable transportation for students, addressing a critical need for accessible education in the region.
By facilitating safe and dependable transport, the Army seeks to enhance educational opportunities for the youth, thereby contributing to their academic growth and overall development. This initiative underscores the Army's commitment to community welfare and its role in bridging gaps in essential services amidst the challenges faced by residents in the area.(PR)
