General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), along with Mrs. Sunita Dwivedi, President of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), visited the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) in Khadki today. Their visit highlighted the Army’s dedication to caring for soldiers who have made great sacrifices for the country.
During the visit, the General and Mrs. Dwivedi were shown around the center, which provides support and care for paraplegic residents. The PRC is equipped with many facilities to improve the lives of its residents, such as a modern gym, computer lab, vocational training workshops and sports complex.
General Dwivedi was especially impressed by the creativity and determination of the residents. He praised their outstanding talent, especially their beautiful mouth paintings, which he said are a true example of their strength and hard work.
Speaking about the center, General Dwivedi appreciated the high quality of care provided to the residents. He highlighted the importance of the PRC in helping paraplegic soldiers become more self-reliant and stay motivated, even when facing life’s toughest challenges.
Mrs. Sunita Dwivedi also praised the staff and residents for their dedication and hard work. She said the center plays an important role in ensuring the well-being of soldiers and helping them feel empowered.
