The 12th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) convened today at the Engineering College Tezu in Lohit District, Arunachal Pradesh. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein attended the event as Chief Guest, marking it as a significant gathering on the State's academic and cultural agenda. The conference brought together students, leaders, and community members to discuss themes of student empowerment, leadership, and national pride.
Addressing the youth, Deputy Chief Minister Mein commended their active involvement and emphasized their role as catalysts for positive change in Arunachal Pradesh and across India. He highlighted the ABVP’s dedication to fostering student empowerment, leadership, national pride, and social responsibility. Mein underscored the importance of Arunachal’s unity in diversity, with its indigenous tribal communities reflecting the State’s collective sense of nationalism and patriotism.
In his speech, the Deputy Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth growth and education, urging students to pursue excellence and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of both Arunachal Pradesh and the country.
A notable feature of the conference was the Tasaso Yun Exhibition Hall, where Mein paid tribute to the unsung heroes and tribal icons of Arunachal Pradesh and India. The exhibition served as a moving homage to the freedom fighters and valiant figures who defied challenges in their quest for justice. Mein described the exhibition as a tribute to the resilience and courage of these historical heroes.
The event was also attended by Advisor cum MLA Tezu Dr. Mohesh Chai, MLA Dambuk Puinnyo Apum, ABVP’s National Joint Organising Secretary Govinda Nayak, North East Zonal Organizing Secretary Kamal Nayan, ABVP Arunachal Pradesh State President Rajen Miwu, and State Secretary Tatlom Tayeng, along with faculty, officials, and students.
The conference reinforced the value of student engagement in the State's development, underscoring the collective aim to nurture future leaders who will advance progress and innovation in Arunachal Pradesh and beyond. (PR)
