Nest Fest 2024 Welcomes Northeast Students in Delhi NCR: Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Former Minister RK Ranjan Singh Attend the Grand Event at Talkatora Stadium.
The 7th edition of Nest Fest, the largest festival dedicated to welcoming students from Northeast India, was held at Talkatora Stadium today. Organized by My Home India, a non-profit organisation founded by Sunil Deodhar, the event is aimed at helping students from the Northeast feel at home as they begin their academic journeys in Delhi NCR.
This year's festival saw the special presence of Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with former Union Minister RK Ranjan Singh. Their participation added gravitas to the occasion, underscoring the government's commitment to the welfare and integration of students from the Northeast region.
The event featured a series of vibrant cultural performances, showcasing the rich heritage of the Northeastern states, alongside interactive sessions that fostered dialogue and community building among the students. The festival not only offered entertainment but also served as a support system for students transitioning to life in the bustling Delhi NCR area.
Speaking at the event, Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed his pride in the contribution of Northeast students to India’s educational and cultural landscape. “This festival is a testament to India’s unity in diversity, where students from different backgrounds come together, fostering mutual respect and understanding,” he said.
The Nest Fest has become an annual highlight for students and Delhiites alike, as it promotes cultural exchange and integration between different regions of the country. Through initiatives like these, My Home India continues to bridge cultural gaps and create an inclusive atmosphere for students far from home.
