The Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps recently launched a National Integration Tour as part of its ongoing Operation Sadbhavana initiative. The tour, which commenced from Missamari, aims to foster unity and national pride among young students from Arunachal Pradesh. A group of 15 students and a teacher from Mahabodhi School in Tawang set off on a 10-day journey to explore historic and cultural landmarks across Delhi, Agra, and Bharatpur.
During the tour, the students will have the opportunity to visit some of India’s most iconic sites, including the Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Vrindavan, and the Nehru Planetarium. Organizers say the experience is intended to expose students to India’s vibrant heritage and provide a platform for learning beyond the classroom. The itinerary also includes a highlight event where the students will meet senior government officials, an interaction expected to inspire and leave a lasting impact on these young minds.
The Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavana, or “Goodwill,” focuses on connecting communities, promoting national integration, and fostering a spirit of unity. The Army hopes that this experience will help students see themselves as part of India’s dynamic future, enriched by the country’s diverse heritage and shared values.
The Indian Army emphasized the tour’s significance in inspiring the younger generation, encouraging them to dream big, and instilling in them a sense of belonging to a “Viksit Bharat” or Developed India.
The National Integration Tour reflects the Army’s commitment to building a strong, unified nation by nurturing the potential of its youth and helping them envision a future where they play a role in India’s progress. (pr)
