Senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces visited INS Vikrant to witness an important military exercise called TROPEX 2025. This visit was aimed at giving them a better understanding of naval operations and strengthening teamwork between the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The top officers who took part in this visit included Lieutenant General Johnson P Mathew, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC); Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS); Vice Admiral K Swaminathan, Vice Chief of Naval Staff (VCNS); Air Marshal SP Dharkar, Vice Chief of Air Staff (VCAS); and Lieutenant General Ajay Kumar, Director General of Infantry.
To showcase the spirit of teamwork, Air Marshal SP Dharkar arrived on INS Vikrant in a MiG-29K trainer aircraft, demonstrating the strong coordination between the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy.
The officers also stayed overnight on the aircraft carrier as part of TROPEX and AMPHEX, two large-scale exercises designed to improve cooperation between the Indian Navy, Army, and Air Force. These exercises help make sure all three branches of the military can work together effectively and be ready for any challenges.
INS Vikrant, India’s first home-built aircraft carrier, was the perfect place for this important visit. This event highlights India’s dedication to joint military operations and securing the nation by strengthening its defense forces. (PR)
