On December 21, 2024, a special ceremony was held at the Garud Regimental Training Centre to mark the successful completion of training for new members of the Indian Air Force’s elite Garud Force. The Maroon Beret Ceremonial Parade was reviewed by the Assistant Chief of Air Staff Operations (Transport & Helicopter), who was the Chief Guest for the event.
In his speech, the Chief Guest praised the trainees for their hard work and dedication throughout the tough training program. He highlighted the importance of staying prepared for the constantly changing security challenges. The trainees were proudly presented with their Maroon Berets, Garud Proficiency Badges, and Special Forces Tabs, marking their official entry into the Garud Force. Several trainees were also awarded trophies for their outstanding performance.
The Maroon Beret Ceremony is a proud moment for the Garud Force, representing the end of an intense training period and the beginning of their journey as skilled Special Forces operators. These young commandos are now ready to strengthen the Indian Air Force’s capabilities and take on the most demanding missions. (PR)
