Bharat: The fourth edition of Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025, a landmark bilateral tri-service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise between India and the United States, concluded today with an impressive Distinguished Visitors' (DV) Day at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The culminating event marked the successful conclusion of a ten-day joint operation designed to bolster disaster response capabilities and foster military interoperability.

High-ranking officials graced the DV Day, including the Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area (FOTNA), the US Consular General, Commander of the US Navy’s Strike Group Five, and the Deputy GOC of the 54 Infantry Division, along with several other dignitaries from both nations.

The final day showcased a seamless integration of complex joint operations, such as standoff and hard beach landings, slithering operations by Special Forces using SC and Mi-17V5 helicopters, coordinated air operations featuring C-130 aircraft, and synchronized missions by the Indian Navy, Indian Army, Indian Air Force, US Navy, US Army, and US Marine Corps. The exercise underscored the high-level synergy, jointmanship, and interoperability achieved between the two military powers.

Held from April 1 to 11, 2025, Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025 served as a vital training platform in HADR scenarios. It offered participants from both countries an opportunity to exchange knowledge, understand each other’s operational methodologies, and integrate emerging technologies in joint missions.

The Harbour Phase, conducted from April 1 to 7 at Visakhapatnam, was inaugurated by Mr. Jorgan K. Andrews, Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy, and Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Chief of Staff of the Eastern Naval Command. The phase involved Pre-Sail Conferences, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs) in cutting-edge fields such as medical response, drone technology, and space coordination. Friendly sports matches and ship-boarding drills added a spirit of camaraderie to the operational build-up.

The Sea Phase, held from April 8 to 11 off the coast of Kakinada, included cross-deck aircraft operations, amphibious troop landings, and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) exercises. A Combined Coordination Centre (CCC) was also established to manage large-scale responses, while a Joint Relief and Medical Camp—aided by India’s Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT) and U.S. counterparts—demonstrated the preparedness of both nations in delivering humanitarian relief.

First held in 2019, Exercise Tiger Triumph has evolved as a key mechanism under the Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) to enhance cooperation and operational logistics between India and the United States.

As the curtains draw on this year’s exercise, Tiger Triumph 2025 stands as a testament to the deepening strategic partnership, shared values, and mutual resolve of India and the United States to safeguard regional peace, respond jointly to natural disasters, and work hand-in-hand as global security partners.
