The prize distribution ceremony for the 34th National Youth Parliament Competition, 2023-24, took place at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament House Complex, New Delhi. Shri Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, led the event and presented awards to students and schools for their excellent performances.
The top prize, the Nehru Running Shield, was awarded to PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kharagpur (Kolkata Region, East Zone), the National Winner. The students of this school also gave a repeat performance of their winning Youth Parliament Sitting, impressing everyone with their skills and dedication.
Four Kendriya Vidyalayas were recognized as zonal champions:

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs conducts the Youth Parliament Competition annually. It aims to teach students democratic values such as self-discipline, tolerance, and respectful debate. The competition also enables students to develop leadership and public speaking skills while learning about parliamentary systems.
This year, 150 Kendriya Vidyalayas from 25 regions participated in the competition, showcasing the talent and dedication of students across India.
