The Startup India initiative, launched on January 16, 2016, aims to create a strong environment for new businesses. It encourages innovation, provides financial support, and helps startups grow so they can contribute to the economy.
To further strengthen this effort, the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), an organization under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, is helping new entrepreneurs through the North East Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS). This scheme offers funding and expert guidance to help startups establish themselves and expand their businesses.
With continuous support from the government, financial assistance, and mentorship programs, the startup culture in the North East is expected to thrive, creating more job opportunities and boosting the region’s economic growth. (PR)
