Additional Director General (ADG) Donny Michael, PTM, TM, Commander of the Indian Coast Guard’s Eastern Seaboard, made his maiden visit to Chennai to set the region's operational preparedness and infrastructure development.
As part of his visit, ADG Michael, whose leadership rises to the Eastern Seaboard with its headquarters in the City of Destiny (Visakhapatnam), is set to perform detailed reviews of Coast Guard units in Chennai, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
The visit highlights the Coast Guard’s responsibility to maintaining maritime security and providing the readiness of its units to respond to challenges in the region. ADG Michael's review will focus on infrastructure advancements, resource mobilization, and working plans aimed at supporting robust maritime management and protecting the region’s coastline.
This examination tour is a important step toward boosting the Indian Coast Guard's capabilities along the Eastern Seaboard, which plays a key role in national security and maritime operations.(PR)
