There is a ruckus from Delhi to Kolkata over TMC MP Mahua Moitra, who made a controversial statement on Goddess Kali. Mahua Moitra’s statement on the poster controversy of Goddess kali has turned into an internal dispute within the TMC. After the ruckus over the statement TMC distanced itself from it. Madhya Pradesh government has filed a case against MP Mahua. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that insult of deities will not be tolerated.
In the midst of all this, Mahua Moitra has unfollowed Trinamool itself on her Twitter account. He also tweeted that he is a worshiper of Goddess Kali. They are not afraid. On the other hand, Leader of Opposition in Bengal Shubhendu Adhikari said that if Mahua's statement is wrong, then why is Mamata Banerjee not issuing a lookout notice against her like Nupur Sharma?

So far cases have been registered against filmmaker Leena Manimekalai in Delhi, UP, MP and Bihar. There are allegations against Leena everywhere for hurting religious sentiments with the poster of the documentary 'Kaali'. Cases have been registered in Lucknow, Gonda and Lakhimpur in UP, while Ratlam in MP and Muzaffarpur in Bihar. After the poster surfaced on July 2, people got angry on social media. Many users accused the makers of hurting religious sentiments and there was a demand to arrest them.
