He also spoke about the Indian Army’s Decade of Transformation, which focuses on using modern technology and becoming more adaptable. He encouraged students to take part in defense research and technological advancements, highlighting the Army’s Technological Battalions as a way to boost India’s self-reliance in defense.
General Dwivedi urged students to take charge of their future by being leaders, thinkers, and innovators. He encouraged them to challenge old ideas and introduce new solutions for progress. He shared three key leadership principles: Commitment & Communication – Important for success and trust-building, Attitude, Adaptability & Ability – The foundation of resilience and excellence, and Truth, Trust & Transparency – Essential values for strong leadership.
The COAS described young people as India’s greatest strength. “India’s future depends on the energy, discipline, and dedication of its youth,” he said. He encouraged students to develop critical thinking, face challenges, and actively contribute to making India a better country. He also spoke about the importance of young people getting involved in technology, start-ups, research, and community work.
