A group of leaders from the National People's Party (NPP), led by Sudesh Bhagat, President of the Minority Department (State), and Jaser Meru, General Secretary (Organisation) of the NPYF, officially joined the Congress party today at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur. The group included 13 other members who made the transition to the Congress.

The joining ceremony was attended by several prominent leaders, including L Chuba Yimchunger, General Secretary In Charge of Dimapur, NPCC, Javed Sarwar, Chairman of the Minority Department, NPCC, Kutoho Chishi, President of Dimapur DCC, and other PCC members, secretaries, and Congress workers.

A brief program was conducted to welcome the new entrants, led by Shri Kumjimong, General Secretary of Dimapur DCC. Javed Sarwar, in his welcome address, expressed gratitude to the new members, recognizing their valuable contributions in their past political efforts. He encouraged them to provide unwavering support to the Congress party and work towards strengthening its position in Nagaland.

Short speeches were given by several leaders, including L Chuba Yimchunger, Sudesh Bhagat, Jaser Meru, and Hiketo Shohe.
