A 3-day interactive workshop on the "Cyber First Responder Programme" for NCC cadets was inaugurated today at PSPS GCW Gandhinagar. This initiative, spearheaded by Maj General Anupinder Bevli, aims to equip young cadets with essential cybersecurity knowledge and empower them as Cyber Ambassadors.
The workshop, a collaboration between the NCC Directorate of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the United Service Institution (USI), and the Cyber Peace Foundation, focuses on educating cadets about safe digital practices and risk prevention measures. Led by Mr. Deepak Yadav, a renowned Cyber Security Researcher and Master Trainer, the program will cover critical areas like digital forensics and network security.
"This program is crucial in today's digital age," said Maj General Bevli. "By empowering our cadets with cybersecurity knowledge, we are not only protecting them but also enabling them to become agents of change within their communities."
The workshop is being attended by 100 NCC cadets from various districts in Jammu and Kashmir, along with officers and instructors. Upon completion, these cadets will serve as Cyber Ambassadors, spreading awareness about cybersecurity best practices among their peers, friends, and families.
The Cyber Peace Foundation, a nominated Cyber Centre of Excellence, has a strong track record in promoting internet safety and empowering individuals through its "Cyber First Responder Program" across India. This initiative aligns perfectly with the NCC's commitment to community service and fostering a responsible and inclusive cyberspace for all.
This workshop marks an important step towards creating a more cyber-aware and resilient society in Jammu and Kashmir. By empowering the youth, the NCC and its partners are playing a crucial role in combating cyber threats and ensuring a safer digital future for all. (PR)
