The Indian Armed Forces had completed their Exercise Devil Strike as planned, a major joint training event that took place from January 16 to 19, 2025. The training helps the Indian Army's special airborne troops and the Indian Air Force to come as a team & work together to show their readiness to handle tough situations in difficult environments.
The exercise took place across different training areas and firing ranges, focused on testing complex airborne operations. These included dropping soldiers and equipment into challenging, hostile areas. The training also looked at ways to keep soldiers well-supplied and effective in extreme conditions.
Some key features of the exercise included:
- The use of advanced technology and equipment to quickly and accurately send troops to far-off locations.
- Synchronized airborne drills that showed how well the Army and Air Force worked together.
- Completing mission scenarios that closely mirrored real-life challenges.
Lieutenant General Zubin A. Minwala, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 33 Corps, who watched the exercise, praised the professionalism and flexibility of the troops. He said, “Exercise Devil Strike has shown once again that our Armed Forces can adapt, innovate & work together as one team in different situations. It also shows our readiness to handle future challenges.”
The training has supported the joint capabilities of the Army and Air Force, confirming that the Indian Armed Forces are now prepared to protect the country and deal with any threats that may come.
