Brigadier SR Sharma, SM, VSM, Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters, Imphal, conducted an official visit to various educational institutions in the Churachandpur district of Manipur. The visit, which took place on 07 October 2024, included interactions with Churachandpur College, Rayburn College, Rayburn School, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV).
During his visit, Brigadier Sharma met with the principals and teachers of the institutions, discussing key topics such as the organization of NCC training programs, challenges faced in implementation, and strategies for ensuring the success of the training sessions. The discussions were aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of NCC training and fostering greater participation among students.
In addition to his interactions with faculty, Brigadier Sharma addressed the NCC cadets and the wider school community. He highlighted the significance of national integration and underscored the importance of youth engagement in nation-building efforts. Emphasizing the role of NCC cadets in shaping a progressive society, he spoke at length about the NCC motto, "Unity and Discipline," and its relevance in the current times.
The event concluded with the recitation of the NCC Song, which embodies the core values of the National Cadet Corps, symbolizing unity, discipline, and dedication to the nation.
