The Gajraj Corps, along with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kamrup, held a successful flood relief exercise called AAPDA RAKSHAK from 20 to 22 January 2025.
The exercise aimed to improve how different agencies work together during floods. It included discussions and practical drills where teams practiced rescue missions, delivering relief supplies, providing medical aid, and using new methods to manage floods.
By affecting real flood situations, the exercise showed how well the Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF, and DDMA Kamrup can work together during an emergency. It also highlighted the importance of teamwork and good planning to ensure that help reaches people quickly in times of crisis.
The training gave local people confidence that leaders are ready to respond to disasters. It also reminded everyone of the Indian Army's important role in supporting local leaders and saving lives and property during emergencies. (PR)
