Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. He also paid tribute to all the brave martyrs who gave their lives for the country.
In a message on X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Modi said, “Tributes to Pujya Bapu on his Punya Tithi. His ideals motivate us to build a developed India. I also pay tributes to all those martyred for our nation and recall their service as well as sacrifices.”
Every year, January 30 is remembered as the day Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in 1948. This day is an important reminder of his values of non-violence, unity & his role in India's freedom struggle.
Along with remembering Gandhi, the Prime Minister also honored all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and progress.
This tribute reflects the government’s commitment to follow Gandhi’s ideas and work towards a stronger, united India.
