Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS), is currently on a three-day official visit to Vietnam from 19th to 21st December 2024. The visit aims to further enhance the defence relationship and foster closer bilateral cooperation between India and Vietnam.
Day 1: Engagements at the Vietnam International Defence Expo
On the first day of his visit, Lieutenant General Subramani attended the Vietnam International Defence Expo (VIDE), where he visited the India Pavilion and explored various stalls showcasing India’s contributions to defence technology and innovation. He also took time to visit the Military History Museum and the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, where he experienced Vietnam’s rich cultural and historical heritage. During his visit, he met with Mr. Sandeep Arya, India’s Ambassador to Vietnam, to discuss matters of mutual interest and potential collaboration.
Day 2: Celebrating the Vietnam People’s Army Anniversary
On the second day, the VCOAS participated in the 80th Anniversary celebrations of the Vietnam People’s Army at the National Convention Centre, marking a significant milestone in Vietnam’s military history.
Day 3: Paying Tribute at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
On the final day of his visit, Lieutenant General Subramani will lay a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum as a mark of respect and to honor the legacy of Vietnam's revolutionary leader.
