In a swift rescue operation on the evening of 06 January 2025, the Indian Army saved eight civilians after their truck plunged into a deep gorge near Khunku Naga village in Leimakhong, Manipur.
The incident came to light when the Chief of Village Henjang informed the Army about the accident. A truck carrying eight individuals reportedly lost control, leading to the mishap. Acting promptly, the Indian Army mobilized a rescue team to the site of the accident.
The team successfully evacuated the injured civilians and transported them to the Military Hospital, where Army doctors provided first aid and trauma care. The timely intervention by the Army played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and recovery of the injured individuals.
