Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF), visited the Headquarters of Central Air Command (CAC) from December 18 to 19 for the CAC Commanders' Conference 2024. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of CAC.
During the conference, the CAS met with the Commanders of the Central Air Command's region. He spoke about the importance of each commander understanding their role in improving the IAF's operational strength. He also discussed the current security situation and the key role the Air Force plays in defending the nation. He stressed the need to always stay prepared for any challenges that might arise and to be ready to handle any emergencies.
Air Chief Marshal Singh emphasized the importance of regularly reviewing and improving operational readiness, maintaining equipment properly, and ensuring strong security measures, both physical and cyber. He encouraged the commanders to continue working towards a safe flying environment and to focus on improving the IAF’s combat abilities through innovation and self-reliance.
The CAS also praised the Central Air Command for its important contributions, including participating in IAF-level exercises, disaster relief operations, and helping civil authorities during emergencies. He thanked them for keeping the core values of the IAF—Mission, Integrity, and Excellence—at the heart of their work.
