In an effort to develop leadership, teamwork, and discipline among students, Army Public School (APS) Damana recently organized a three-day Pravesh Camp and Dwitiya Sopan Camp for its Scouts & Guides. The event sought to provide holistic growth for the participants beyond their academic curriculum.
Under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur and Vice Principal Mrs. Shallu Kapoor, the camp was meticulously planned with the aid of key resource persons, including STC RP Kotwal, Joint STC (Guides) Smt. Manjeet Kaur, and Scouts Masters Mr. Neeraj Sharma and Mr. Madan Lal Sharma. The program was created to improve the participants' skills in line with the APRO 2 and 3 syllabus, and it provided a structured, enriching experience that highlighted both learning and fun.
The camp, which took place at the APS Damana campus, featured a series of activities seeking to build creativity, responsibility, and teamwork among the students. Scouts Master Mr. Sita Ram Sharma and Guides Captain Mrs. Malkeet Kaur ensured the smooth coordination of the event, managing the execution of different educational and recreational activities.
Throughout the camp, students engaged with enthusiasm, displaying their skills while learning valuable life lessons through interactive and hands-on activities. The event also created an opportunity for students to bond and form lasting friendships, boosting their sense of comradeship.
The camp concluded with a Closing Ceremony that was graced by Wing Commander (Retd.) M.M. Joshi, the National Secretary of J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides, who was the Chief Guest. In his motivational speech, Wing Commander Joshi inspired the students, leaving them filled with excitement and positiveness for the future.
