The Indian Armed Forces recently conducted Exercise Prachand Prahaar, a large-scale joint military drill in the high-altitude region of Arunachal Pradesh. This important exercise, held from March 25 to 27, aimed to improve coordination between the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and other defence forces to prepare for future combat situations.
The exercise focused on teamwork, advanced surveillance, and precision attacks. It involved the use of modern military technology, including long-range aircraft, helicopters, drones, and space-based systems, to improve battlefield awareness and quick decision-making.
During the drill, targets were identified and swiftly destroyed using a combination of fighter jets, long-range missiles, artillery, and drones. The training was designed to simulate real battlefield conditions, including electronic warfare, to test the forces' ability to adapt and respond effectively.
Senior officials, including Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, Commander of the Eastern Command, and Air Marshal Surat Singh, Commander of the Eastern Air Command, reviewed the exercise. They praised the troops for their skills, coordination, and professionalism.
This exercise built on the success of Exercise Poorvi Prahar, held in November 2024, which focused on using air assets effectively. Exercise Prachand Prahaar took this a step further by testing a fully integrated approach to surveillance, command and control, and precision strikes.
This military drill highlights India’s commitment to strengthening its defence capabilities through technology, teamwork, and preparedness. It demonstrates the Armed Forces' ability to protect the country and respond effectively to any security threats along the borders. (PR)
